For all journeys in Baden-Württemberg, the principle of ‘one destination, one ticket’ applies under the system of the 19 transport association fares and the bwtarif. Statewide. Within theKreisVerkehr Schwäbisch Hall network, you use the KVSH fare. As soon as you purchase a single journey across several Baden-Württemberg transport networks, you automatically receive the bwtarif. Only with bwtarif day tickets do you actively choose your preferred ticket.
The bwtarif is valid on regional and local trains, including S-Bahn services, as well as on regional buses throughout Baden-Württemberg and on selected routes in neighbouring (federal) states.
The use of light rail, trams and buses at the start and end points of your journey is already included in tickets within Baden-Württemberg.
You automatically receive the bwtarif ticket as soon as you purchase a single ticket for travel across multiple transport networks within Baden-Württemberg – at the ticket machines of the railway companies at the station and in their customer centers. bwtarif tickets are also available as e-tickets and via the BWeit app.
The Baden-Württemberg Ticket day ticket is also still available at the usual sales points of KreisVerkehr Schwäbisch Hall.
Whether you’re travelling alone or in a group, whether you use public transport regularly or just go on the occasional day trip – the bwtarif has the right ticket for all journeys across transport networks. The prices of single tickets are based on the distance travelled. When used in conjunction with a BahnCard, single tickets are 25% or 50% cheaper.
The Baden-Württemberg-Ticket day pass is part of the bwtarif fare system. The range of tickets under this fare system also includes group tickets and tickets that can be combined with season tickets from transport associations. These allow you to continue your journey into the neighbouring transport association.
Combined tickets and tickets for carrying bicycles are also available under the bwtarif fare system. Within the KreisVerkehr Schwäbisch Hall network, bicycles can be carried on trains free of charge.
